Kota Damansara, 3 October 2024 – The Rise Awards are back for their sixth year! We are proud to share that Mardhiah Nasir, our Executive Director, is the first Asian leader for Women in Broadcast and Media Technology shortlisted for the Business Leader Award. Rise received hundreds of nominations globally and revealed the shortlist at a reception held at the recent International Broadcasting Convention (IBC), which happened in RAI Amsterdam from 13 – 16 of September 2024. There are 15 categories of nominations for the Rise Awards. Winners for the Rise Awards  will be announced at a ceremony to be held on the 19th November at the Troxy in London.

We would like to send a shoutout to all our team members, customers and partners who have supported Mardhiah in this journey. For the evaluation process, the RTMklik case study with Amazon Web Services was shared including how Mardhiah has spearheaded the revolutionizing of video for public and enterprise messaging via IPSB’s Online Video Audio Platform (OVAP) which as an ISV partner, we help broadcasters during the whole process of Ingest – Process – Store – Broadcast and monetize their assets. Dara Urquhat, Red Bee Media 

Dara Urquhart is the Chief Operations Officer at Red Bee. She has 14 years of experience in service delivery in the media industry and joined Red Bee in 2008. Red Bee Media, as part of Ericsson, a Fortune 500 company,  offers global reach with operations in Europe, the US, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific. Their clients include BBC, MTV, FOX Networks Group, Canal+International and other numerous global broadcasters. Red Bee Media offers expertise in broadcast and streaming technologies.

Terri Davies, Trusted Partner Network

Terri Davies is the President of the Motion Picture Association’s Trusted Partner Network. She has previously worked at Anuvu, Deluxe Entertainment, Tele-Cine Post Production, and Sony Pictures Entertainment. At Sony, she was the Executive Vice President, Business Operations, Worldwide Product Fulfillment. Davies has extensive experience in the media industry, having driven digital transformation and efficiency across various post-theatrical windows. A member of BAFTA, she is also a dedicated mentor and serves on various boards.

Mardhiah Nasir

Mardhiah Nasir is the Executive Director of IPSB Technology, Malaysia. With over 13 years of experience, has led the way in the realm of Managed Service Provider for both public sector and enterprise broadcasting in the South East Asia region. The company’s groundbreaking turnkey solution for multiple stages in broadcast: Ingest – Process – Store – Broadcast (IPSB) and Monetize, is transforming the way broadcasters curate and deliver content to their audiences. Mardhiah has led IPSB to an increase of women workforce to 50% and customer base spans across South East Asia.
